What is PTSD?

Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) is a mental health condition that can occur after experiencing or witnessing a traumatic event. Common triggers include combat, natural disasters, serious accidents, or personal assaults.

Symptoms of PTSD can include:

1. Intrusive Memories: Recurrent, unwanted memories or flashbacks of the trauma.

2. Avoidance: Avoiding trauma reminders, including people, places, or activities.

3. Negative Changes in Mood and Thought: Feelings of hopelessness, emotional numbness, or relationship difficulties.

4. Hyperarousal: Increased anxiety, irritability, difficulty sleeping, or being easily startled.

PTSD can significantly impact daily life, but effective treatments are available, including therapy (like cognitive-behavioral therapy) and medication. If you or someone you know is struggling, seeking help from a mental health professional can be a crucial step.

Our Approach

We believe in a holistic approach to therapy, considering all aspects of your life, including your relationships, work, and physical health. Our therapists use various evidence-based techniques, including cognitive-behavioral therapy and mindfulness.
